Backend Engineer

To expand our IT team, we are looking for a Software Developer able to develop core software components for production-grade architectures using the strongest methodologies and best practices. The candidate will work with team members to troubleshoot and improve current backend applications and processes. The Backend Developer will use his or her understanding of programming languages and tools to analyze current codes and industry developments, formulate more efficient processes, solve problems, and create a more seamless experience for users.

Your skills
We have the perfect job for you, if you have these skills:
BS in Computer Science or a similar technical degree, or equivalent practical experience.
2+ years of software development experience.
Experience with Object Oriented Design principles.
Experience with both relational databases (PostgreSQL) and non-relational databases (e.g., Redis, DynamoDB).
Experience with message queueing systems (e.g., Kafka).
Experience with microservices architecture.
Working knowledge of Docker and containerization.
Working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English.
Nice to have
Other qualities that make you the ideal candidate are:
Comfortable with Python 3 and web frameworks (e.g., Flask)
Familiarity with Python testing frameworks
Experience with event-driven microservice applications.
Experience with eventually consistent architectures (e.g., CQRS).
Passion for Bitcoin/Blockchain development and new cryptography technologies.
