Stamp Duty commission

Starting in 2023, with the approval of Budget Law 197/2022 (2023 Budget Law) and Revenue Agency Circular No. 30 of October 27, 2023, a tax of 0.2% was introduced on the value of crypto-assets (such as Bitcoin).

To ensure proper management of this tax, we handle the calculation and payment to the Revenue Agency of the amount due based on your Conio Portfolio. Subsequently, we will charge you a fee equal to the tax paid. Simply log into the App to check for any charges incurred, their amounts, and the payment method.

Here is some additional information:

How the tax is calculated

  • The tax is equal to 0.2% of the Wallet balance at the end of the period. The cash balance in euros is not included.

  • The minimum tax due is €1.00, even if the calculation results in a lower amount.

  • If your balance was €0.00 at the end of the period but you carried out transactions (purchases, sales, conversions, transfers, or receipts) during the period, you will be charged the minimum amount of €1.00.

  • If your relationship with Conio began during the tax period, the calculation was made starting from the date of the first transaction (purchases, sales, conversions, transfers, or receipts).

Payment methods

  • In the App, you’ll find a guided payment process and can pay the fee using your cash balance in euros.

  • The payment process will appear directly in the app each time you log in, or you can access it by clicking “Buy,” “Withdraw,” or “Send.”

  • If your cash balance is insufficient, you can top up your account via card or bank transfer, or sell assets.

  • We will send you a payment receipt via email.

Note: To facilitate tax payment, the minimum top-up amount when using a card ONLY is €1.
